Replacement tires
#1
I have an old Schwinn ladies bike that belonged to a family member. Bike is probably 40-50 years old (?). Had it restored several years ago + new tires and tubes, etc at big $'s. My wife rides the bike and noticed the tire are cracking. 26 x 2.125 Schwinn Typhoon Cord. I want to replace the tires and am wondering if off the shelf tires & tubes will fit the Schwinn rims. I don't have the model # now because the bike is at another location. Any help? Thanks!

Yes any "should" suffice. If you can take one of the old tires with you to the place you are going to get new and compare them. However there are a few options you can go like eBay (which I would use LAST due to overpriced items), amazon.com (pretty fair market price), and places like jensonusa.com. Or if you wanna save on shipping just go to the place where you were wanting to go if you ride only in the normal season.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

If your bicycle shop uses Quality Bicycle Products for its wholesale supplier, there's the Kenda K130 Cruiser Tire 26x2.125 Black/White Steel (TR5180) $18.95 list.
