Hey,i have a freewheel that i want removing but:
I have 2 freewheel tools one from ADW and one from halfords, both dont fit, its a shimano cassette, its the original part and the bikes a reebok shadow any ideas?
I also use the Park Tool FR-1.
Are you sure that it is Shimano?
Are you sure that it is a freewheel? Could it be a cassette? Or a fixed gear cluster as used with the Shimano front (BB) freewheel system?
The FR-1 does not fit the fixed Shimano gear cluster used with the bottom bracket (crank) mounted freewheel. I ended scrapping out the wheel after spoke failure on the drive side, and am using a conventional freewheel. Having freewheels front and rear is somewhat interesting.
A picture is worth a thousand words.....
That looks like a "freewheel" to me and needs a different tool.
The tool looks similar to the cassette tool but is slightly different?
The number of splines and depth need to be matched.
