Can a threadless headset be used with a threaded fork?

Of course! swing by your local LBS. They will most likely have an adapter to put a threadless headset on. I just put one on the single speed I built up. they work great.

I forgot to tell you that they usually run anywhere between $10-$20 new. Well worth it.
