Alex, I have seen your video on how to true a wheel. However, being a young bike mechanic myself, I do not own a truing stand. I was wondering what truing stand brand you recommend and one that could be used for all different types of wheels and one that is affordable. Thank you!

RE: Truing a Wheel
The Park TS8 is a good affordable truing stand. If you want something a little more sturdy and professional I'd go with the Park TS2.

RE: Truing a Wheel
Take a look at Roger Musson's book (http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/wheelbuilding/book.php), I can recommend it. He describes his own setup, he built the truing stand himself since no commercially available stand fitted his needs. The book is cheap enough (9 GBP ~ 12 USD) but only available electronically. I can definitely recommend it, it is very detailed. Oh, and when you buy it, you get free upgrades when a new version comes out. I own a Minoura truing stand. It works and was cheap. That is the best I can say about it... I wouldn't recommend it for regular use, though.
