Special Tool to Remove Bianchi wheel and seat
#1
The axles on my daughter's Bianchi Broadway bicycle have On Guard Locking Skewers and take a special tool to remove the front and rear wheels and the seat.

Does anyone know if all On Guard Locking Skewers are the same, so if I order a new set of skewers the key will work?

Where can I order a tool so we can remove the wheels for servicing?

Thanks in advance.

Wow those are cool! Nice anti-theft system. Does On Guard have a toll free support number? Sorry I can not offer better advice here. But thanks for sharing.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Looks like there are many different "codes", so: no, it's not going to be that easy. You can order a replacement key from the website linked above.

After having some morning coffee just thought, although nice would suck if one forgot the keys on a long ride and got a flat. Sad Would make the ride a long long walk back with bike in tow lol.

Yeah, but it's better than carrying the frame home cause the wheels were stolen... I have a set of comparable skewers on my "after dark" wheelset (the one with the hub generator) the "key" is on my key ring together with the keys for my bike locks.

Ok I can see your point, I remember the thread about lights. Those are pretty expensive wheels (looked them up because I may invest in a set) to lose to some loser who steals. Any wheels lost is a cut in the budget to replace. Speaking of locks hmmm.
