Nice bike indeed, Miyata made some great bikes. AS did most Japanese makers in the late 70- 80's.

Here is a link to Miyata Catalogs. I cannot tell what model that is.

it is a model 1400A not sure of the year but I think is an 90 give or take. 48 or 50 cm frame. So I thought I would part it out as a full group. perfect for someone that has that vintage only well used and wants to restore it. they literally have not been used more than a few miles if that. no brake scrub on rims and no rub on crank arms and no rust on the bolts.
I saw the link but cannot find a 1400A in the color pearl white
to small for me too Nigel. I am looking for a NOS Frame For downtube shifters around 56cm. If I cannot come up with a sweet frame the miyata is getting parted

Nice frame also Nashbar has some very nice frames on sale. I always check them and Performance cycle.

This one is half the weight of the above. If you want to reuse most of the parts IMO keep is as road bike. Get
A Triathlon type bar for comfort. If thats what you need, or reverse the bar and cut of the horns.

Whoa, PK. Schweet find!
Wait... did you say "part out"? I might cry, man.
I just acquired a 1989 Schwinn 564 in Exage and Sport LX equipment that I seriously contemplated doing that with, too. After a o-haul and frame wax, I decided on new tape, too. It's now back on the market as a rider for $250. Original sans the tape and rubber that I refreshed. If I found a buyer for the parts, I may still.
Kinda tugs at the heart-strings; making a call like that.

I know Robar it is a tear jerker to me. some bikes do have a heart and soul. Its kinda like Toy story. So I will find home for it and make it come back to life, the life it never had before. and someone will be happy and i will still be poor
