Hi JR. As there is no such thing as a 65 mm BB, your shell has probably already been chased and faced as ghost mentioned. That Raleigh takes a standard 24 TPI like Shimano makes. You will need a 68 mm x whatever over-all axle length you have.

You could answer any bike repair question that way. Of course the guy could go to a bike shop and pay them to do the job. But when someone asks a repair question, it's because they want to know how to do something.
That did not come off very nice Nehomo,Mercy

You are suggesting I should have been nicer. You don't say if you agree with me on the content of my post. And you don't address JR's question either. But I didn't say anything un-nice in itself, so, apparently, you like Ghost's position, in that JR should go to a bike shop instead of asking here.
As you can see, Ghost isn't backing down. He buttressed his argument by saying this (yet unknown) bike shop would know additional relevant information.
But what is a repair forum for if not to ask questions? And, although this is not the situation in this thread, often mechanics who work in bike shops are the ones asking the questions.
And I repeat: you could answer any question with the advice to ask elsewhere. That doesn't help the asking party a bit.
