China - riding around Songshanhu
#1
Bill requested this. I will try to find more pictures to add to this.

Here are a couple pictures of riding around Songshanghu (Songshan Lake or Reservoir) in Dongguan City, China

The bike path is approximately 31km all the way around. The path goes across a levee at one end, and across a dam at the other end, thus it is not completely around the lake.

Hi Bill;

Dongguan's climate is like Houston TX - hot and humid much of the year. Keep in mind the China has approximately the same land area as the USA, and it's southern and northern extremes are at appproximately the same latitudes as the USA's extremes.

You know I didn't really think about that lol. Like the scenery though, guess things have changed over the years huh? Ever thinking about riding along the Great Wall to some aspect?

These pictures are all from 24 July 2011. It was HOT and HUMID that day.

I am in the USA now, going to China in Feb. Not going to be anywhere near the Great Wall or Three Gorges....
