Broken lock key
#1
Hi

The winter frost made my bicycle lock.. freeze
So I wiggled the key a lot trying to open it
Result: broken key

It's a cheap spiral lock, like this one http://www.skevi.com/images/6125017.jpg

Any idea how I can open the lock now?
The broken key fits in the keyhole, aligning with the height of the keyhole
So the cylinders are pushed up, I guess

Maybe I can force some nails in or something, and turn it open
Do you have a trick or any ideas?

are trying to save the lock or just get it off the bike and do not care if it is ruined?

any kind of cutoff wheel like on a dremmel or cable cutters will work

You could try a hacksaw, but it will take you a while. But PK's idea is probably better.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
