New Derailleur needed
Hello, I am new to the bike repair world so I figured I would ask here.

I recently was gifted an 85 Raleigh Olympian and the rear derailleur broke. Can anyone give suggestions on the type I should look at buying?

Its a 12 gear bike 2 Front/6 Back gears. Let em know.

Is the hanger part of the derailleur or part of the bike frame?

hanger (aka claw) on the derailleur:

The TX35 is a reliable low end RD, which will work okay for you. If your budget is greater, provide pictures, and we'll provide recommendations.
