Not bad bikes, sturdy to the 10th degree. This one is all original for the most part.

Hi Bob;

Nice.  A couple of questions: did you purchase the brake levers as is, or fabricate them?  And do you know when the Crisscross switched from lugged to TIG welded?  I have a friend with a lugged Crisscross.

Thank you
Nigel

Hey Nigel, The lever's are original to the bike. I actually am considering swapping them out as I like the dual reach for the barends I use a lot. They are Tektro pretty rare. I have a pat. # for them, I could try to find a model# if you need. My 93's and 94 do have a lugged seat collar. I would guess the lugged framed ones would be pre 1992. I bought these bike's to resell. You may have seen my 22in frame 93' (lost post). I still have it. This 94' was sold together with another 93' 22in. frame Crisscross. with the inverted SuntourS1 groupset. This one is white in color. I paid $195 for the pair, no great deal but I knew they would clean up very nice, are good bikes, and I should be able to resell them for around $200 each. They fell into my minimum 25 cent on the dollar expectation range. I think these will be $ for $ profit when they sell.

Mission accomplished, sold today for a cool $220. It is getting a 4in. rise alloy bar in the deal, along with standard levers to suit the buyer. Works for me as I kinda wanted to keep the levers anyways. Everybody's happy! just the way I like it!
Sorry Bicycle Blue Book .com. Sill a joke, always will be. Not even close!

I have this 1994 Schwinn cross cross . I need new tires but I am having trouble finding them. What size tires are on the bike?

where are located? 700c tired should be available just about everywhere, how ever have not tried to buy any since the COVID crisis. Thes tires are 700cx28, you can go a tad fatter like 700cx32 if you wish or smaller depending on the width or your rims. I have two new in stock . $20 each, $10 shipping in the conti US.. 700c x 38. these would make for nice city/path. light trail use tires for your bike
