Fork replacement for TREK 3700 2013
#1
Hey guys, nice forums!
I would like to consult with you the following issue:
My Trek 3700 got involved in a fight with a Subaru B4. We won :-) but the fork is now broken.
It's a SR Suntour XCM 26" with standard V-brakes:
SR Suntour XCM w/30mm stanchions, coil spring, preload adjustment, 100mm travel

Please advise - which should I get to replace it? I wish to replace it with same quality and price range.
I am in Israel, I ride mostly urban.

Thanks,
Adam.

Readily available most anywhere. Just stick to 100mm travel and make sure it is v-brake compatible. Let your wallet decide. Now you can think about whether or not you would like the bars higher or lower before you cut the steerer tube to fit. Just add or remove spacers to fit. The suntour in this price range is just as good as any.

Yo PK how you doing man. Sure a big fall off in bike land, and winter is coming. Although I am now in Galveston TX so my riding is just starting. Summer way too hot.

Thanks, man! now I need to contact local suppliers... Bike stuff is so expensive here, sometimes it's cheaper getting it sent from Ebay from Singapore. Go figure.

Doing good George, glad you are all dug in in Tx. I feel ya about the heat, My Daughter lives by Dallas. I ride some when I am visiting and have to go 10 miles in any direction just to go anywhere to check stuff out and then back again. normally gone half the day by myself as they do not ride much that far out. Plus they are timid about traveling down 380 because of all the crazy drivers.
