DH bike for newcomer

Cheers guys!
I finally want to jump into the downhill biking after years of XC experience. But I have no clue about DH bikes and their brands ... have noticed eg. Santa Cruz and so on. So perhaps you can share your favourite bike brands and maybe suggest what type/model is suitable for downhilling beginner.

I might be late with this reply but I suggest to just check everything that Santa Cruz has to offer -> that's my nr1 downhill brand
