How is saddle width measured? I'm 250lbs and don't know whether to get the 130mm or 143mm Specialized Phenom SL saddle.

Hi Dan,
The best way to find out is to test both sizes. You're local bike shop should let you do that no problem, and a good shop will install them on your bike no charge so you can try them. It all depends on how wide your sit bones are, and everybody is different regardless of weight. I found some more info you might find helpful on the Specialized website here:
http://www.specialized.com/specs/spec.js...http://www.specialized.com/specs/spec.jsp?speccode=bodygeome
Hope that helps, let me know how it goes!

Hi Alex,
The Specialized BG Phenom143mm saddle is awesome compared to the 120mm, 12 year old saddle from before. Actually feels like my gluts are getting the exercise now and not my groin.
Thanks for your help,
Dan
