What do you like about gravel bikes?
#21
I love the look of them but ultimately my favorite thing is how amazingly versatile they are. I dream of touring japan on gravel bike someday.

This was the first I had heard of "gravel bikes" but they look fine for riding on pavement and dirt trails around here.

I live in an area with gravel roads (although my road is paved now)

The "gravel bikes" look a lot like the bikes I rode in Germany back in the 1970's, but back then they were just bikes. We didn't know we needed a special bike to ride on gravel -- which is a good thing because we rode our bikes on pavement, on gravel, on dirt roads, and on single-track trails. I'm not sure how we would have carried four or five different bikes just for a regular day of riding around Augsburg in the 1970's or Helmstedt in the 1980's

I like that you can take them off-road and still be fine.

I like the flexibility that gravel bikes provide so I can go from street to gravel and vice versa.

I'm not really sure the difference between a new Gravel Bike, a Cruiser from a couple years ago, and an ordinary bike from when I was a kid. But I do like the looks of this one.

I'm not familiar with these, but it looks like it would be good for almost anything except serious mountain biking.

Looks like a fun bike out in our rural area, mostly pavement but sometimes have to take to the shoulder of the road which might be gravel or dirt.

I like gravel bikes because the only trails near my house are gravel. This trail is a great warm down after riding in the grass fields.

I really like the fact that with a gravel bike, I have the freedom to tackle any terrain on my journey. Having one bike in my garage that can fit all my needs is great.
