Hey all I am pretty exhausted on searching and was wandering if anyone knew of an online place that sells 116 link chain in the color blue?

What kind of chain are you looking for? Is it single speed, multispeed (5,6,7,8,9,10), 1/8 or 3/32"?

It is for a Mountain Bike 7 speed. As far as the 1/8 or 3/32 I will have to use my Micrometer.

Ok, it won't be a 1/8 for sure. I'll see what I can find and get back...

I found this one on Amazon. It should work, but you'd have to confirm how many links with the seller.

I emailed the guy and haven't heard anything yet. Seems to be a pretty good chain. My 2nd thoughts were to find 2 112 link 3/32 (if there are any) and just piece it together

NOTE: By the way Alex I am assuming you know it is for a 21 speed? (3/7)

Well, everything except internal gear hubs, track bikes and bmx use 3/32" chain... there is some difference between 7 speed and 10 speed though, the outside of a 7 speed chain (well, as far as I know: the rivets) is wider.

Ok I was kind of wandering where is the 3/32, 1/8, 1/2 etc measured?

Ok now I feel like a goof! I just counted the links on this chain and it is 110 links? Here are a Couple of pics of it and in each line there are 20 pins. 5 rows of 20 and one row of 10 equal 110? Im confused now lol.

Yep, looks like you have 110 links!

Most modern chains are 1/2 inch (distance between rollers). Single speed chains fit on a thicker 1/8 inch wide sprocket, whereas multispeed chains fit on a narrower 3/32 inch wide sprocket.

9 and 10 speed chains have thinner plates and flush pins.

So thus meaning the 1/8 or the 3/32 comes from the thickness of the sprocket. Did not mean to make it sound harder then it was lol.

There were also other types in use: old track chains and Shimano tried to introduce a chain based on metric units... more on Sheldon Brown's homepage.

Thanks to everyone, I really did not understand where the 3/32 came from because I was playing with my new micrometer which made things worse then it really is lol.

Nothing like learning fun too.Some times we make it harder on our selfs.

Hey tino,
I really do thank you very much for looking out, but the only one that will work is 1/2 x 3/32. I already emailed KMC and they said that they did not carry (colored) any in multi-speed. What I will probably end up going is buying one cleaning up the surfaces and hand detailing it myself.
