Cateye Strada Wireless
#1
Hi, I think I have a problem..... I bought via internet a cat eye strada V3.... double wireless but now I think of it, with my cannondale SI hollogram crankset, I'M not sure if I can use the cadence magnet and sensor, do you think I can use that because the space between crank arm and chainstay is pretty thin?

thanks

Hm, close to the bottom bracket the space might be big enough. Depending on the pedals, you might also be able to install the sensor quite far to the back, on my road bike the magnet sits quite nicely on the backside (the hex hole) of the pedals (strada RD 200, I think). Difficult to say, though, as I don't have your bike here and you have not posted any pics of the area in concern.

If all fails, you might be able to mount it on the set tube / down tube?

I run a Q3 on my high speed horse treadmill and have discovered a quirk in the software that someone may be able to explain.
Horse treadmills can decelerate a galloping horse at incredibly high rates, eg 45kmhr to 6kmhr in 2 seconds. When I do this the computer enters its own deceleration rate of 20 seconds for that decrease in speed then robs the 45kmhr interval heat of 18 seconds. The heart rate graphs true so you end up with a graph that shows 180bpm for 20 seconds after the speed has decreased to 6kmhr.
It is a characteristic of the fit thoroughbred that HR and Velocity are tightly linked. Probably because they are highly bred athletes.

As a note . I find the Q3 a very complicated piece of kit.
Some readers may be thinking, Hey this guy cant even spell, so no wonder he finds the Q3 difficult.
