I'm a little bummed about the Labonte Roubaix ride in North Carolina. I was going to attend, but tropical storm Fred, as well as my work kind of dampened my mood both literally and figuratively. I hope the weather is good for the riders and that some of you get a chance to participate.

Upcoming in November (6th & 7th), in North-central Florida is the Gainesville Cycling Club bike festival with 2 events on Saturday: the Santa Fe Century and the Gravel Challenge (65 miles). On Sunday will be the Horse Farm Hundred (40th anniversary); if everything goes my way I will be participating on the Horse Farm ride in true Eroica fashion (just need to pick which bike to ride, probably my Crescent Pepita). I hope folks from the area and outside of the area will participate. See you there!

Just a reminder for folks who want to participate; the Gainesville Cycling Club Bike Festival is right around the corner on Nov. 6th & 7th. The weather has been great here the last few weeks and it should be a nice cool ride for those interested in getting out and doing a few hours in the saddle with like minded folks. Santa Fe Century and Gravel Challenge (6th) and the Horse Farm Hundred (7th).

I'll be riding an orange early 70s Crescent Pepita (doubt you will see another one one the course).
