It is a 1992 Specialized Hardrock. Originally an Shimano Altus equipped 18 speed. It has been upgraded to a mountain mix of Shimano Altus Rapid fire shifters and brakes with Koolstop pads. everything else is period correct Shimano DeoreLX some new old stock or grade A used. It is now a 21 speed. many of the parts came from a 1993 Specialized Rockhopper Comp. Roughly a 4 level upgrade in components from a stock Hardrock. Here is a web pic of what it looked like before I started. This is not my bike but close enough to what it was.
